The group "Północ" ("North") is formed under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Karol Ziemski "Wachnowski". The group includes the troops from Wola (with the Home Army Kedyw), the Old City, Żoliborz and the Kampinos Forest.

Within the action of "clearing the east-west artery", the Reinefahrt squads are advancing from Wola to the east along the axis of Chłodna and Ogrodowa Streets, Mirowski Square, Mirów Halls, and Iron Gate Square.
Wola falls into the German hands.
Only the "Radosław" soldiers still hold their positions near the Jewish cemetery on Gęsia, Spokojna and Dzika Streets, forming a narrow edge between the enemy positions.
The ground communication between Śródmieście and the Old City is broken.
The Old City, so far a quiet place, undergoes heavy air bombardment.

The insurgents encounter a new type of German weapon - the goliaths. These are remote- controlled miniature tanks packed with explosives; steered by the Germans, they would approach the insurgent positions and then blow up by the detonation of their warhead.

In a few locations in the city, the Nazis again use Polish women or wounded insurgents as a human shield, driving them in front of their tanks, among others on Nowy Świat Street.

In Mokotów, the partisans take control over new territories: Szustra Street from Puławska to Niepodległości Street, and Belgijska Street to the escarpment.

In Wola, Rev. Colonel Tadeusz Jachimowski, the Chief Chaplain of the Home Army, is killed in a mass execution.

The RONA troops are pacifying the Staszic Colony. Only a building at 60 Wawelska Street is still defending itself.

On the night of August 7 and 8, a trench and a barricade are formed on Aleje Jerozolimskie between the tenement houses no. 17 and 20 near Bracka Street. This is the only passage between north and south Śródmieście. The passage survives until the end of the Uprising.

The American forces capture St. Malo.

The Red Army commanded by General Koniew captures the oil basin in Małopolska.
