The civil authorities negotiate the next ceasefires, giving the Warsaw population a chance to leave the city. Another group of approximately 2000 women with children and the elderly leave Warsaw through an outpost on 6 Sierpnia Street (today Nowowiejska Street).
Heavy fights in Śródmieście. The enemy and the insurgents are fighting over Aleje Jerozolimskie. Particularly fierce fights are taking place over the houses at the corner of Bracka Street. Eventually, they fall into Polish hands.
South Śródmieście and Czerniaków are shelled and bombed throughout the whole day.
The Germans launch an attack on Sielce. Following a heavy bombardment, the infantry rushes to storm the insurgent positions. The Germans achieve certain successes in the area of Chełmska Street.
In Czerniaków, the units of "Radosław" and "Kryska" (ca. 1100 soldiers in total) secure the area near Aleja 3 Maja, maintaining communication with South Sródmieście through Książęca Street.
Soviet planes are bombing German positions in Praga. For the first time Soviet fighter planes appear over Warsaw.
The second handwritten issue of a magazine for children entitled "The Children of Mokotów" is published. The magazine is prepared also by children.
Polish Radio begins to operate in the city.
