3 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street. The Holy Cross church.
Initially, the church was built in the year 1525, then it was redeveloped in the year 1615. Having been destroyed in the Swedish Deluge, the new church was built in the years 1679-1696.
During the Warsaw Uprising the church was the direct witness of fierce fights. It was machine-gunned by the artillery. On September 6, 1944 Germans detonated two "Golliaths" inside the church, as a consequence of which it was thoroughly destroyed.
The reconstruction lasted between the years 1945-1953.
