30 Nowy Świat street. On the building wall there is a plaque that reads,
In this house there lived Ron Yeffery a.k.a. "Paweł Kawala" (1917 - 2002), a British soldier who, after having escaped from a German prisoner camp, lived in this house.
As a Home Army soldier, he was active in Kedyw and engaged himself in high risk missions to Vienna, Prague and Hamburg.
In the year 1943 he was decorated with the Polish Cross of Valour
In the year 1995 he was promoted to the status of the Order of Merit of the Polish Republic.
The Home Army Commander-in-chief Bór-Komorowski became the godfather of his son.
He described his occupation actions in the book entitled "Wisła jak krew czerwona" ("Red runs the Vistula").
