The commemorative plaque: "On September 14, 1944 - two soldiers of Home Army "Żubr" ('Bison') battalion: Cadet Jan Ogulewicz "Boy" and Cadet Corporal Jerzy Harland "Obwies" stopped the Nazi troops shooting from the corner windows of the building. This resistance deterred the Nazis from capturing the 2 Gdanska Estate. The exceptional courage and determination of these soldiers saved the inhabitants from slaughter. In recognition of their service they were both honored with the Order of Military Virtue (Virtuti Militari). We pay tribute to their memory".
