Aleja Niepodległości number 52 at the corner of Naruszewicza street. One can see a plaque with such information: This building, called "The Box" at the time, was the place of resistance of the soldiers from the company O-3 of the Home Army regiment "Baszta".

In the year 2013 the building, in which the 56th High School PAX called after St. Augustine had been situated after the war, was knocked down.
At this place a modern housing block with office and service part was built: the construction was finished in 2015.
On a front building wall, nearby the underground exit, one can see a plaque that reads as follows:

In this place there used to stand a building called "The Box", which during the Warsaw Uprising was a crucial place of resistance of the soldiers from the company O-3, the battalion "Olza" of the Home Army regiment "Baszta".
At the heroic fight with the German invader 44 soldiers fell while 56 soldiers were wounded.
May they be the example for the future generations.
