2/4 Czerniakowska ('Cherniakov') Street - on the wall of the Observants church. The plaque commemorating major Andrzej Rudolf Czaykowski "Garda", 'Dark and Silent'*, the commander of "Rys" ('Linx') battalion in the Warsaw Uprising. He was murdered by the Communist Security Service in the Mokotow ('Mokotov') Prison after his return to Poland.


* The member of the wartime paratrooper unit of the underground Home Army. The 'Dark and Silent' were trained in the West and parachuted over Nazi-occupied Poland to join the resistance forces.
