The Powsińska street - Czerniakowski Fort. The memorial plaque dedicated to the Polish soldiers who defended the fort in 1939 as well as the Home Army soldiers of "Oaza" battalion who fought in this area from August 18 till September 2, 1944.
Nearby there is a plaque that says, On September 1, 1944 in this fort there fell Captain Melchior Szczubełek a.k.a. "Jaszczur", the chief of the Region 5 of the Home Army Mokotów District. The officers and soldiers who participated in the send-off died as well due to the explosion of an aircraft bomb. Pro Memoria 1944-2004 - comrades in arms from "Oaza" battalion.
