The Hippodrome - Bokserska Str. A remembrance boulder with a cross on it located among private gardens on the horse race area, next to the Bokserska Str.
The boulder displays the inscription: " A place hallowed by the blood of Poles fallen for the freedom of their homeland. Here, about 150 Warsaw Insurgents were killed by the Nazi occupants in early August 1944."
An information plate over the boulder says: "To commemorate soldiers of the AK Baszta Regiment's Karpaty battalion fallen in the battle for the Hippodrome. The 150 victims include also soldiers from the I Platoon B2 killed close to Smyczkowa Street and the residents of the nearby houses".
The access to the remembrance place is difficult from Bokserska Street through the area of the Wyścigi Housing Community, the entrance is opposite the house in Bokserska 38.
