In the flat owned by Janina Englert was known to be an aid place for the Home Army soldiers.
On August 2, 1944 two liaison women moved on from here.
They were attacked by a German sharp-shooter.
19-year-old Zenia Olejnik, who had been saved from the Wołyń manslaughter, died at once.
23-year-old Zofia Brzostowska was severely wounded.
More than 300 insurgents perished while fighting in the Prague district.
