Krasinskich Square. The monument in the memory of the Warsaw Uprising. It is the main city monument commemorating the Uprising, designed by sculptor Wincenty Kusma. It was unveiled on August 1, 1989. In the eve of each anniversary of the Uprising the reading of the roll call of the dead takes place there. The government delegations from many countries visiting Warsaw bring wreaths here in order to pay tribute to the killed. There is also another tradition of the newly married couples bringing the wedding bouquets.
